Steven B. Harvey is a 31 year veteran of the investment business.  He coordinates diverse client requirements in futures, futures options, stocks and stock options. Steven was president and a financial principal of Harvey Commodities, Inc. for twelve years from the firm’s founding in 1980.  In the preceding years, he was a market maker trading stock options for his own account on the floor of the options exchange in Chicago and has held management and brokerage positions with some of the major entities in the field.

Central to Steven’s trading philosophy is the belief that astute money management and trade selection are of equal importance.  All trades are evaluated with regard to risk/reward and probability analysis.  He establishes long-term client relationships by cultivating a thorough understanding of client objectives and temperament.

Steven’s research focus is predicated upon liquidity considerations.  He follows approximately twelve of the most actively traded commodities.  His approach is primarily technical, utilizing his own proprietary systems as well as standard analytical tools.  Psychological indicators and cyclical and seasonal models are also consulted.  The markets he covers are: Corn, Soybean, Live Cattle, Sugar, Gold, Crude Oil, Japanese Yen, Euro Currency, Euro Dollar, Bonds and Stock Indices.
